I am very concerned about the food situation for those many residents in Phnom Penh who were not able to stockpile, or stockpiled an insufficient amount. Especially in cases where there is a child under 5 in the household.

From the start people were (contrary to public announcement) not allowed to venture out to buy food; now all the food markets are officially shot.  Delivery of rations by the government, if in fact happening, has nto reached anyone i know of.

As it is about 1/3 of Cambodian children under age 5 suffer from chronic malnutiriton. These weeks without access to food or with access very limited could exact a terrble toll among young children.

with the porous borders throughout these regions covid has the potential (especially with evolving mutations occurring from runaway disease rates) to become a total nightmare beyond what's been seen so far. As noted above, disease is far from the only result of western industrialized nations ignoring the plight of billions. They can crow about their 'vaccination percentages' all they want but allowing this pox to go unchecked will come back and bite those smugly declaring a win, right on the butt. If this is not tackled as a world problem, nobody is going to beat this bug.
