How to ship a used a/c

Featured Replies

Too big for DHL or Kerry.

It used to be possible by bus or mail?

Is this still the case?

Have you tried the Thai Post Office? They ship motorcycles around the country (or at least they did in 2019 from Buriram to Hua Hin).

Thai post will ship it but NOT door to door, it would go PO to PO, the first and last leg you would need to sort out.

Would  PO pack it for me or do I have to do this myself?

As I stated it PO to PO so yes you would need to get it to and from the PO each end.

With "pack" i meant put it into a box. PO has this service for smaller items, not sure about an a/c.

Do I have to put it into a box before bringing it to PO?

I would suggest you take a pic of it with your phone, go talk to your Post Office, I am reasonably certain if they can help they will.

Try LalaMove.

Someone will come with a pickup truck and take it wherever you want right away.

It may be slightly more expensive than post. But definitely not over 1000 THB at most.

Thank you.  I couldn't remember their name, I had heard of them before.

My wife has deliveries of stock via some service that uses the buses - she gets 40Kg bales of clothes from BKK to Hat Yai - 150B

You need to pack it well, nothing has ever been been damaged but it’s not a VIP service. The guys, usually Burmese, come in a 10 ton truck, the driver hardly stops the truck and the guys jump off and dump / pickup..

Where are you? I can make a phone call to find the nearest haulage company.

The a/c is in Bangkok and we are looking for a way to bring it to Nongkhai

About 15 months ago my Thai son contacted ThaiPost in CM re sending his big bike to a location near the Rose Garden on Suk. Rd just outside Pattaya.

They quoted to come to the house in CM, wrap the big bike and deliver it to the specific located he wanted near the Rose Garden.

He went ahead, delivered to near Rose garden just over 48 hrs later, ThaiPost staff unwrapped it and took packing away, bike in perfect condition.

Son also mentioned that he was quite impressed with the overall 'can do' attitude and courtesy right through the process. At both ends the PO staff called and made specific times/location to meet my son, always at son's convenience. Both times they asked for a couple of obvious nearby landmarks to help them find the locations and at both locations they arrived on time.
