As part of the nationwide measures to contain the local COVID-19 transmission

TAT Newsroom

Bangkok, 30 April, 2021 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) Head Office and Domestic Offices will allow its staff to work from home, from 1-14 May, 2021.

Meanwhile, the TAT domestic offices are authorised to consider allowing its staff to work from home in line with the evolving situation in their respective locations.

All TAT staff are to avoid interprovincial travel, unless utmost urgent and necessary.

During work from home, TAT staff have been instructed to adhere to the policy of the Thai tourism industry to provide and maintain quality services.

At the same time, they are advised to strictly follow the DMHTT precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19: D – Distancing, M – Mask wearing, H – Handwashing, T – Temperature check, and T – Thai Chana contact tracing application.

TAT apologises for any inconvenience should international and domestic tourists be unable to contact our offices during this time of difficulty.  TAT remains contactable for tourism information 24/7 at the TAT Contact Centre 1672.

TAT would like to take this opportunity to remind all to also take the DMHTT precautions and be a part of the nationwide effort to contain the local COVID-19 transmission.

They deserve their break considering all the hard work they have been putting for a year now. Can't be easy to come up with all these numbers and schemes.

Can't wait for them to come back refreshed and full of wonderful ideas! Thailand to the moon!!!

My guess for their next grand masterplan will be: Thailand, first country in the world to reach 1 billion tourists in 2022!

It will be the one who 'dreams' the highest number.

No different to the dreams about lottery numbers, except that lottery jackpot is way lower than any predicted tourist numbers.

With Prayut saying tourism will not open up until next year not a lot.

What a great job to have.

Well there's an idea - Thailand, the hub of moon travel. Gotta be a winner.

Thai birth rate might go up.

I hope working from home does not disrupt the great work TAT has been doing to promote tourism in Thailand.

TAT works from home?

That's baaaad news. People do get really crazy ideas when being confined to their own homes and suffering from cabin fever, you know.

Will be most interesting to see what the next few TAT bat <deleted>-crazy announcements will look like. They were ludicrous enough when everyone was still working from the office, but with that new arrangement they surely will top even those.
