Thailand records first case of Brazilian coronavirus variant in quarantine

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand on Wednesday recorded its first case of a coronavirus variant first detected in Brazil from an overseas arrival in state quarantine, an official said.

COVID-free certificates issued for Phuket arrivals

PHUKET: The Phuket Provincial Public Health Office (PPHO) has confirmed that COVID-free certificates are issued to people who test negative for the virus after undergoing a RT-PCR test on arrival.

BANGKOK, May 6 (Reuters) - Thailand reported 1,911 new coronavirus cases and 18 new deaths on Thursday, as the country continues to deal with a third wave of infections in the pandemic.

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thai consumer confidence dropped to a record low in April, dented by a new wave of COVID-19 infections and a slow economic recovery, a survey showed on Thursday.

Foreign husband sought after blood found at house of missing pregnant wife in northern Thailand

Thai national TV news Channel 7 reported that a foreign man -  believed to be a white Caucasian - had fled a house when confronted by his mother in law about the disappearance of his wife who is two months pregnant.

Delivery guy goes to the cops with sad tale of how a "sideline" girl took 14,000 baht then blocked him!

Sanook reported that a 24 year old food delivery guy called Prawet went to the Muang Loei police to complain that a woman he chatted with on Twitter had taken 14,000 baht of his hard earned money then blocked him.

Thailand removed from New York Times’ list of countries acquiring Pfizer vaccines

After recent unconfirmed reports that Thailand had already acquired COVID-19 vaccines from Pfizer were denied, The New York Times has removed Thailand from its infographic listing the countries acquiring the vaccines from the company.

Thailand says foreigners to get COVID-19 vaccines amid access concern

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thailand confirmed on Thursday that it plans to include 3 million foreigners living in the country in its mass vaccination programme to protect the entire population, amid concerns over the scope of vaccine access.

PHUKET:-- Foreigners working in Phuket will be able to register to receive the state COVID vaccination through the ‘Phuket Must Win’ web portal from next Tuesday (May 11), Pracha Asawathira PhD, an academic with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, has confirmed.
