The Airlines Association of Thailand (AAT) today called on the government to speed up the injection of funding, in the form of soft loans, to seven Thai airlines and to arrange for a special quota of Covid-19 vaccines for their frontline staff.

Representatives of the seven airlines, the founding members of AAT, namely Bangkok Airways, Thai AirAsia, Thai AirAsia X, Thai Smile, Nok Air, Thai Lion Air and Thai Vietjet, met today to discuss the proposal for financial help and vaccinations, which they sent to the government last August.

TAA President Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth said that the association has decided to send another letter, addressed to Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, to remind him of the airlines’ request for soft loans, to help their struggling businesses in the wake of the third wave of the pandemic.

If he does it, maybe he could also include to make it mandatory that all canceled flights refund the prospective passengers easily and in a timely manner.

CP is probably waiting just a little longer, airlines become cheaper every day, They will buy when the price is right and when they know for sure the people who represent them in the Government are planning to take action to improve. Thai is not a member ?
