CCSA considers allowing restaurants in red zone provinces to partially re-open

Thailand’s Centre for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) is considering relaxing some of the restrictions in place in so-called ‘dark red zone’ provinces.

Over 500 more inmates infected with COVID-19 in Klong Prem Central Prison

Thailand’s Corrections Department has reported an additional 506 COVID-19 cases among inmates, this time in Klong Prem Central Prison in Bangkok. These are on top of the 1,795 cases in Bangkok Remand Prison and 1,039 in the Central Women’s Correctional Institution reported previously.

Panel to supervise 3.7 million baht in public donations for supposedly poor student wanting to be doctor

The Muang district office of Thailand’s northeastern province of Kalasin has set up a committee to look after about 3.7 million baht in public donations, given to an 18-year old female student who passed the entrance examination to study medical science at Mahasarakham University, but claimed she could not afford the six-year educational costs and personal spending.

Number of initial Sinovac Covid-19 vaccines for Pattaya and Banglamung area in mid-May decreased, inoculation date slightly postponed

Banglamung – The number of Sinovac vaccines scheduled for a mid-May arrival in Banglamung and Pattaya has been decreased from 30,000 doses to 20,000 doses, according to city officials this evening, May 14th, 2021. Vaccination dates have also been slightly postponed due to the lack of trained medical staff for this first major batch of vaccines.

Lampang governor Narongsak praised by PM for success of vaccine registration in northern province
