Airmail to US/UK issues, very slow or lost or...?

'Morning fellow Thailand lovers... 3 to 4 weeks ago, even 5 to the UK, I mailed several letters international airmail, 3 or 4 to the US and one to the UK. None of them have arrived, so far. I did not purchase tracking. In normal times, it should be a week to UK and about 2 weeks to the US. The UK one is in its 5th week and still nothing. I know the Thai post office stopped shipping internationally for about 10 days toward the end of April into the beginning of May and I'm wondering if perhaps my letters did not even go out until after that blockage but the post office had nothing to say about it. Anyone have any recent experience or knowledge in regard to the above? Thanks so much, Bamboozled

In these very irratic times I never send anything that isnt trackable. Those that I have sent have all arrived albeit a little slower in some places. UK/EU/US

Remember there was a week when all outgoing mail was

shut down , when they had to disinfect the mail depot,and

with less flights, it's sure to be a lot slower.

I mailed 39 letters to the UK as part of a campaign we were running, they were mailed the day the sorting office was closed for deep cleaning because of covid. I think the office opened again on 4th May but  so far, none of them have been received in the UK. Either the back log was huge or deep cleaning involved burning those things that might be contaminated  with covid....we may never know. ????

Very helpful, friends, thank you. I'm not sure which day they stopped the outgoing mail and I didn't know it was for "deep cleaning". As mentioned, we did ask the post office about the delay yesterday but they didn't offer any clues. I appreciate the input.
