Malaysia in lockdown again! CCSA fears illegal immigrant incursions on southern border

The Center for Covid Situation Administration spokeswoman Dr Apisamai Srirangsan expressed concern now that Malaysia had gone into Covid lockdown again.

 

She said there are fears that people would sneak over the southern border and asked for the interior ministry to be especially vigilant.

 

In addition she asked for the people to be the "eyes and ears" of the authorities. 

 

This would be especially important in the provinces of Songkhla, Yala, Narathiwat and Satun, reported Sanook yesterday. 

 

Meanwhile there were no new clusters in Bangkok though there were 78 more cases associated with Huay Khwang market bringing the total to 112. 

 

Other markets were being checked and an eight point plan was in place to stop spread through markets.

 

Workers camps throughout the capital were also being scrutinized.

Thailand should take note of what is happening in Malaysia and act accordingly. Malaysia is just a few weeks ahead on the curve
