House Speaker Chuan Leekpai has reminded members of the Thai parliament to comply with its rules and regulations, saying that they are lawmakers and should behave as role models for other people.

He issued the reminder to all MPs after an incident on the first day of the debate on the budget bill on Monday, when parliamentary police got into an argument with two aides, reported to be working for Deputy Agriculture Minister Thammanat Prompow. The aides had tried to enter parliament in violation of a directive issued by Mr. Chuan, which stipulates that an MP can be accompanied by only one aide, as a safety measure against COVID-19.

Mr. Chuan offered moral support to the unnamed parliament police when they were summoned for a private meeting at parliament late Tuesday night, to hear their side of the story.

But, But, But Don't you know who I am and who I work for.  I work for the one who was lifted high and is revered because of his past drug conviction not being recognized by Thailand, so you should respect the ground I walk on as I am his aide.....

So the flour mans lackies were been naughty, trying to break the rules, what does anyone expect from them?

Their boss thinks laws dont apply to him, so his lackies think the same.

If you saw the Thai news there a cartoon reenactment of a police person having to get down on his knees and kowtow to a certain person.

They should fire the lawbreaker immediately.. Once drugsbaron and mafia always mafia.. example today

They should get John Bercow in there.

He'd sort 'em out!

The enforcer's enforcers.

Thamanat knows he's untouchable.

This is such a sweet statement. I'm all choked up.

Role models? Behaving like role-playing sideline girls.

Thailand, where crime and punishment pays with a seat at the table.  When will Suthep be appointed to the Cabinet, as he has appealed his murder conviction?

Rules are for peasants... not lawmakers.

He knows where the bodies are buried.

Come on, this is Thailand. Rules only apply to ordinary people, not to hi-so’s and MP’s, duh!
