A caravan of COVID-19 inoculation vans, from the Public Health Ministry, began inoculating people over 60, bed-ridden patients and their caretakers in Bangkok today (Tuesday), before going on to tour the country to inoculate the vulnerable on Friday. 

 

Public Health Minister Anutin Charnvirakul explained that the caravan targets the elderly, as well as those taking care of them, staff members of nursing homes and especially those living in high-risk communities.

 

The caravan is a cooperation between the Health Service Support Department, the Health and Elderly Establishment Confederation and Banphaeo Hospital and aims to inoculate 1,200 people in 32 high-risk areas in Bangkok. After that, it will travel to 3,000 other areas across the country.

This is an excellent idea.... 

 

But why stop there ?....  These vans could load up with viruses and vaccinate whole communities. 

 

These vans could go to the high-risk markets and vaccinate people who go to the wet markets. 

 

These vans could go to factories and vaccinate all worker who work in close proximity to each other. 

 

These vans could go to communities of migrant labourers who also live in tighter proximity to each other. 

 

 

The only issue I see... there are enough vans around Thailand, there are enough means of keep the vaccines at the required 2-8 deg C within the vans.... 

 

........  but, it seems there is still the elephant in the room...   not enough available vaccines.

I assume you think I'm pointing out the language error of someone for whom English is a second language?  That's not the case.

We're 798 km from Bangkok. I doubt we will see them!

Sounds like Death race 2000 with caravans ..

Something like this was out in our moo ban ???? last week. They encouraged all the old folks ???? to register for a jab. ???? Their first question was, which one is it? Answer was Sinovac. ???????? Most refused. ☹️

With a deficiency of vaccines a targeted method to deliver to those deemed at high  risk . Why  not?

In Australia there are reports  of vaccinations being belatedly provided in  Rest Homes dueto  socia; pressure by medical personnel who have also yet to be vaccinated !

Is there any place that is to anyones satisfaction other than to provide cause for criticism and puerile derision ?

I agree with your point regarding  the headline, it is not grammatically correct, the usual lack of an article plus poor structure - but understandable????
