Popular Post webfact Posted June 12, 2021 Popular Post Posted June 12, 2021 Picture: Thai Rath Thailand's deputy prime minister Prawit Wongsuwan has stepped into Pattaya's drains. Not literally - now he is taking a keen personal interest in why it always floods when it rains in Pattaya. Prawit is one of PM Prayut Chan-o-cha's right hand honchos who was famously embroiled in a case about expensive watches a few years back. Now he is overseeing a committee looking at Thailand's biggest infrastructure projects. Pattaya's drainage is one of those with a three stage plan underway. Prawit asked for the latest news ahead of the next commitee meeting to be held at the end of June, reported Thai Rath. The plan to solve Pattaya's water woes involves tunnels, klong development and drainage pipes. It has dragged on for years though with Prawit's new-found interest locals will be hoping that a friend in high places might actually result in something being accomplished. -- © Copyright Thai Visa News 2021-06-12 - Whatever you're going through, the Samaritans are here for you - Follow Thaivisa on LINE for breaking COVID-19 updates 15

Popular Post ikke1959 Posted June 12, 2021 Popular Post Posted June 12, 2021 most important sentence: "dragged on for years." with the number of unemployed people becaus eof the Covid, there is a lot of work available for these people.. Clean the rivers, brook, ditches so that the water can go away .. also everyone wants to get rid of the electricity cables so start digging .. work enough. But ..... a committee, that drag things on for years...is much better, than solving the problem. Next year floodings again 3

Popular Post mikebell Posted June 13, 2021 Popular Post Posted June 13, 2021 If Fatty is getting involved then there's money in the offing. People are pointing at the PM's brother and asset concealment yet no one raised an eyebrow when the last figures showed Prawit's wealth rising by FIVE million a year for the previous four years and all on a salary of under ONE million per annum. 6 1
actonion Posted June 13, 2021 Posted June 13, 2021 Employ garbage collectors that will do their job properly, ( thats a big job in itself), Currently thoughout East Pattaya public garbage bins overflow daily, because they are not emptied regularly, causing the contents to block the drain covers, hence the floods, not helped by Thai's who throw their plastic bag full off their household garbage in to any where there is long grass growing 2
worgeordie Posted June 13, 2021 Posted June 13, 2021 He's the man for the job ???? if he can stay awake long enough. I will be watching his progress with interest..... regards Worgeordie 2
MasterBaker Posted June 13, 2021 Posted June 13, 2021 i lived for 15 years in Pattaya near Parraya Tai and Sukhumvit, this place is flooded as soon as it rains for 30 min, my house was flooded twice. This area is below the sea level, unless you pump water out, nothing will work. They cannot drain water from beach road, what are you talking about other areas?

PETERTHEEATER Posted June 13, 2021 Posted June 13, 2021 Judging from his shape this 'old boy', with a lack of paint, could be an 'old buoy' bobbing around in flood water. 1
Surelynot Posted June 13, 2021 Posted June 13, 2021 "Deputy PM hopes to solve Pattaya’s flooding problems"..........this guy hasn't quite got the hang of it. "Deputy PM instructs that Pattaya solve flooding problems".......more like it. 1
