What are our rights here?

I'm not exactly sure what our rights are here when it comes to the police. The fact they can just <deleted> test people with no cause is pretty nuts.

 

So, 

 

1. Are you required to let police in if they come to your home?

 

2. If you end up at the police station, don't say or sign anything without talking to a lawyer?

 

Or is it best to just pay a "fine" as soon as you can?

 

That vid makes me want to have a lawyer on speed dial.

"Thai Legal" website has a page about what to do if one meets the police, and also many laws in English, including drug laws and penalties.

Sorry the idiot got exactly what he deserved with that pathetic attitude towards Thailand's laws - even if I do not agree with them.

 

Should kick him out of the country, and be done with him if he cannot abide by the Thai law
