The media said sources in the administration in Hua Hin are looking into the possibility of building a waste treatment plant that will convert the trash into electricity.

Don't hold your breath (unless you're  near the garbage pile)

That'll take forever.. if ever.

They gave 7 days notice?

Something's wrong here, does the army often deliberately go out of their way to create potentially very serious problems for a large populated area just down the road from where they're located...

I have a feeling this is somehow about money

Nice setup for Hua Hin.

Im so glad I didn't buy land around there.  Thai garbage includes broken cell phones, car batteries, general toxins.

In few years the water supply for miles around will be deadly.

Anyone close buy will have virtually useless land that nobody will buy.

Who’s a proper little ray of sunshine then ?

Aside from that 10 years ago it was 100k a rai 5 minutes from town - now it’s 4-5 million!! and most water is from Pranburi not HuaHin apart from central ! So you’re talking garbage anyway, excuse the pun

I suppose that'll mean that there will be even more trash dumped along Soi 102 ????

There’s a dedicated dump near 112 where all the refuse trucks park overnight so where’s the panic ?

No panic as long as its not near your house.
