I'll tell you something now: Thailand has been manufacturing AZ vaccine since Jun 7. Stop spreading misinformation.

they are far from meeting the announced production volumes. so yes, "no vaccines" is true for the many people waiting on one.

That isn't even remotely what he wrote. Here it is again:

"To date, Thailand has no locally-produced vaccines."

"No vaccines" is currently true for most of the world's population, locally produced or otherwise.

Now there are hospitals (Samitivej and one other I forget) sending out text messages & emails to people (my Wife) offering Moderna for a price…. But can’t offer a date…

The wheels are falling off & everyone is trying to capitalize…

I asked about this yesterday and was told that if I paid a deposit up front they would put me on their list and let me join the queue.

As they already have a waiting list I probably would not be vaccinated with their first batch, which they (currently) believe will be arriving in October.

Wouldn't it be nice to pay a deposit to find out that the free jabs arrive first?

What a massive clusterf--k.

This article is dated June 7th, the public should be told what the situation is now. Before June we were told declining amounts in millions a month were predicted to be produced, then the week before June 7th 1.8 million doses were claimed to be delivered. Since then no news at all about production, but a lot of news about vaccine shortages. They have been producing AZ, so how much and where is it and how much if any has been sold abroad, can you tell us that?

The point of my paragraph was to expose a falsehood floated by unblock the planet. Whatever the situation is in regards to shortfalls of the vaccine, telling falsehoods about it only undermines any case one might make.. Apparently, you feel differently. Why else try to manufacture a disagreement with me?

TELL US NOW!

Most of your questions have been answered, albeit in a very disjointed manner. This is done either on purpose, or more likely, owing to incomeptence.

You are correct though, with regards to SBS/AZ. Very little transparency at all, a presser or two, a forklift photo, some DKSH pick-ups streaming out with a Police BMW escort.

One assumes that if SBS/AZ was humming along, then the government would be crowing about from every roof-top. Instead: crickets. Could things be going well, and everyone just wants to keep that good news a secret? Uhmm, no.

At the very least AZ/Thailand/Teague should be updating everyone. But then, they knew what they were getting into when they chose the local partner.

That's the main question, and probably explains Thailand's vaccine shortages.

Sure glad somebody's in the know! Show me!

As of June 22 when I canvassed five vax centres, all were using imported AZ, restricted to 200 dose/day.

5 vax centers out of how many in Thailand? What makes your suspicions so ridiculous is why would AZ lie on behalf of Siam Bioscience? What have they to gain by it compared to what they have to lose? Risk/reward.

Nope. You know the reason AZ can say nothing! Think about it: Tell us Siam BS fudged up production; tell us AZ will cancel its contract/not supply raw materials to Siam BS. Obviously, they can't.

In any case, it appears the immediate problem is solved as Siam BS finally came through. Now come the question about whether they will do what Western nations did, hoard vaccines for their own citizens. Or fulfill their legal contractual obligations & see that Malaysians, Filipinos, Indonesians get protected, too.

It's a tough call.

Come on now, this was to be expected, no? Everyone who's been here for more then a year or two should that incompetence is this government's trademark.

Do not expect anything; if you want a vaccine, make it happen for yourself (travel back home, get your shot and return when you feel like it).
