Listening today to the UK BBC news who were reporting mutterings from the UK government . The message being that all UK citizens who have had a double covid jab will in the near future be allowed to travel to green and amber traffic light countries and not have to quarantine on their return to the UK and that the proposal to be promoted globally, however they did mention that face masks , 2 meter distancing and regular hand washing should remain a new norm . On top of this comes a new annual vaccination against covid and will begin this September in the UK because the current double jab starts to wane after 9 months  . At the same time a flu jab can be given to those who are most vulnerable .   So it looks like covid is here to stay and we will have to get use to living with it .

How could the possibly know ?    its not been 9 months and evidence from other corona virus  suggests that

Not think so cos some people have caught it at least 2 times and laboratory tests show resilience wears off within 1 year ( don't shoot the messenger )

Maybe those persons will keep on catching it again and again  because their immune system does not mount a response to the virus ?

I think this will be like the seasonal flu...new vaccines needed annually because the variants emerge so quickly. Based upon what we already have seen with a South African Variant, a Delta (Indian) variant and others, it's possible that booster shots (new formulations) will be needed to impart immunity. Sad situation but I believe Covid will be with us a long time hence.

Masks, social distancing, frequent vaccinations and so on continue. It is depressing. Essentially nothing changes so why vaccinate if you have had it already? For travel yes, but why would anyone travel in world like that (for pleasure at least)?

You will get used to it. Wearing your mask will be similar to a gentleman's hankerchief. The polite and proper thing to do. Manners.

Take your fear and politics out of the equation and what's left is a hankerchief on your face.

Same thing as not sneezing on someone or spitting (except for Vietnam where they like that), or not wearing a condom or any kind of barrier.
