Popular Post webfact
Reuters file photo for reference only Traffic ground to a halt yesterday morning in the area around Chiang Mai Ram Hospital downtown, reported the traffic police on Facebook. The gridlock was caused by people showing up to register for the vaccine of choice, Moderna jab. Then further confusion reigned when it was announced that registration was full after the police made contact with the hospital. People were told to avoid the area. Thai media said this created utter confusion in the minds of the public. A sign saying "The Queue is Full" went up on a barrier at the hospital. It added that if registration reopened they would advise on their "Facebook Fanpage". The hospital announced registration for Moderna jabs on July 3rd. They said registration was from 9 am - 4pm in the restaurant at the Health Center at a cost of 1,650 baht inclusive of vaccine charge and hospital charge. It did not include doctor's fee or medical certificate. One person could only make up to ten doses in their registration. Payment could be made by "walk-in". But the Facebook page of the hospital then said walk-in registration was ended because it was full. Supplies they had ordered from the GPO (Government Pharmaceutical Organisation) were all used up. This produced a storm of online criticism against the hospital. People said that registration opened at 9am yet supplies were used up by 8.30 am. How could that be? Some people pointed out that registration had in fact begun on Sunday. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2021-07-06 1
Popular Post bipper
Absolutely no problem them going to medical staff and their families. If that's what happened. They have only had Sinovac questionable against Delta at the very least. However the blatent disrespect for people's time and trouble? For what so they would look good? Many drove for hours. Lampang even Mae Hong Son to find they couldn't even get near the place. For that alone I'll never grace them ever again. ed strong
Its almost they are creating events that potentially will need the actual thing they are offering (good marketing) Tbh its not that dissimilar to what happened in the UK, i had a surgery appointment a few months ago and had to go to the actual hospital ward for a covid test one week before the planned surgery. 1 week later whilst actually waiting for surgery (after isolating for that week) i was passed by other people in the hospital also arriving for their covid test! So after isolating the actual hospital puts me within 2 meters of people being tested! Either the hospital does not trust that local testing centres (There was one 1 mile from my house) or what i don't know but totally bizzare! Advertising the public is to be registered when medical workers are previously filling the reservations? Not acceptable …
Golden Triangle
Once again, what I don't understand, as the same is happening here in Pattaya, the hospitals tell people they are taking ( registering) people who are expressing an interest in getting and paying for a particular vaccine, how will they know how much to order from the GPO if they close registrations before people had a chance to get to the hospital ?? The same happened at BPH the other week, how will the GPO know how much to order if registrations closed with only 250 names on the list ?? Bizarre & unexplainable.
