Just about to go and renew my 1 year parental extension and hoping someone can jog my memory on what is required. I know I will need 2 copies of........

Passport, OA Visa, current ext, Departure card, Paternity registration Amphur as well as three photos of myself and my son.

Will I need copies of my current rental lease, Sons birth certificate or anything else springs to mind?

Will I need original of Amphur registration of paternity?

Are there forms I can download prior to going speed up the process a bit?

Any help appreciated. Hoping someone has been recently

A copy of your rental agreement with signed copies of the owners house book and ID card are normally needed.

Copies of your child's birth certificate, house book registry and ID card (if they have one) are required.

Originals are not normally asked for.

You can download, complete and print two sided this TM7 form. Fillable TM7 form.pdf

They will give you a couple of other forms that only take a minute or 2 to complete. They can vary from office to office.

Thanks Joe. Btw, do you know how long you can extend for being a parent? I mean is up until the child reaches a certain age or other conditions?

There is no written restriction for you child's age to apply for the extension. But many offices say it is a maximum age of 20 since that is the age of maturity.

Went to immigration this morning OMG ended up there for 3 hours. I've been doing this for 4 years now and the first one was a massive headache but consecutive years in and out 30 mins tops. Always dot my I's cross my Tees save time.

Got this lady officer who was nice enough, not belligerent or anything but man! The first obstacle was she said we would have to go re register my sons paternity at the Amphur again! Need to do it every year she said. We told her we have used the same stamped registration cert for the last 4 years no problem and I had the original and the court order as well. She kept citing new rules. I told her that is the same as going to register your marriage every year, ridiculous. Took us quite some time to convince her to go and check with someone else, which she did and obviously it wasn't right. Registering paternity at the Amphur was more hassle than the actual court proceedings! Had to drag 4 witnesses along and waste their time. The time they made it so difficult, claimed my sons mother had to be there (Mum long gone) , had to be registered at mums Amphur 500km away. In the end had to get my solicitor involved who knows the Amphur boss. Even had the hide to hold a cash stuffed envelope under my nose when done for a gift.

Next hurdle at Immigration the officer was claiming my GF (not my sons mother) needed to produce her ID etc all confirmed and stamped as Authentic from her Amphur office. I said it has nothing to do with her? She hasn't witnessed any forms or filled out documents and I have never done it before? What if I came alone? So again took some time for us to convince her to let this go. The last thing was she claimed we needed to go and get revenue stamps from the Govt office because I rent and they need to be attached to the copy of my rent agreement. In the car and another hour wasted and trip back there.

One last thing she gave my GF and explained it to her, GF didn't have a clue what it was and didn't ask but look like 2 slips of paper for 90 day report confirmation, but no next appointment date? My GF claims she said it is my address confirmation and in future I wont have to report (which I doubt). I have attached the 2 slips below. I been at the same address so I don't know what the change of address thing is
