Ban Muang reported that locals on Koh Phangan island in the south of Thailand got fed up with foreigners holding Covid-19 violation parties. 

 

Under the auspices of Surat Thani provincial governor Witchawuth Jinto, the Phangan district chief Poonsak Sophonpathumrak sent in DOPA officials and island police.

 

They raided an establishment called Aum Sound Healing. 

 

Two operatives were sent in first and they decided there was cause to arrest the owners. 

 

They arrested Sergei, 54, and Anton, 34, both Russians and an American woman called Elizbeth aged 36.

They were charged with running a health spa without a licence, employing foreigners without a work permit and violating 90 day report regulations.

 

They were all taken to the Koh Phangan police station for prosecution. 

 

Ban Muang gave no concrete evidence of parties though they said that the locals were fed up with the foreigners who were flouting the Covid-19 rules.

Must be a pre-opening cleanup . Good idea for the near future giving a rave party and say it's a sound healing spa , won't be needing any licenses for a rave. Enough medicine on those rave parties to heal many 55555

If you are going to attempt to do something like this first make sure you are legally in the right with correct licences, visa etc & stay close to the "locals."

Detente 2021!  For those of you old enough to have grown up during the cold war era, Nixon's administration, etc.

Seem many foreigners here see Thais flouting laws, then think they can go ahead and get away with it, eventually they do get caught, even if they have been paying the local mafia monthly.

My 'younger' friends won't even look at TV or AN as it now is.
