MANILA (Reuters) - Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte said on Monday the country will fight for "what is rightfully ours" and not allow itself to be bullied by any superpower, commenting on his foreign policy during his final State of the Nation address.

"Make no mistake: Gone are the days when the Philippines decides and acts in the shadows of the great powers," he said.

Some wishful thinking by Duterte. He started kowtowing to the Chinese right from when he first became president, and just walked back on his stance against the VFA, welcoming them back. They will always be in the shadows of the superpowers whether he likes it or not.
