Statistics Released For Phuket & Krabi Airports’ Traffic In April 2007 Including Songkran Holidays, Show Strong Increases Over 2006.

The Airports of Thailand or AOT who manage Phuket International Airport have sent to Andaman News their latest statistics for April. The total number of passengers arriving, departing and in transit was 487316, which was 24.98% more than April 2006. The total freight in, out and in transit was 1385 tons, which was 11.51% more than last year.

Meanwhile the Department of Civil Aviation who manage Krabi International Airport reported that in April there were 750 aircraft movements or 34.8% more than last year, while total passengers was 84,924 or 72.6% more than last year. Their total cargo was 88,829 kilograms or 42.96% more than last year.
