Police arrest man in Thonburi responsible for shooting of official's son and friend in Roi-Et

Police arrested a 29 year old man in a house in Thonburi, western Bangkok on Thursday.

 

Jirawat Anthachai was named in a warrant for the murder of a man in Nong Phai sub-district of Tawatburi district, Roi-Et on July 6th.

 

Naret Phonwiangtham, 24, was injured in the shooting but a friend died the next day. 

 

Thai Rath suggested that one of the men is the son of a phu yai ban, a local village official.

 

It was unclear if that was the deceased. 

 

Jirawat was taken back to Roi-Et yesterday and admitted the killing saying it was a result of a personal conflict. 

 

He has been charged with premeditated murder, attempted murder and weapons offences.
