Joint raids by the Narcotics Control Board, the Department of Special Investigation and the Region 5 police in Chiang Mai uncovered evidence of Ya Ba drug money being laundered through a newly promoted Thai League 2 football team, reported Naew Na

Drug money was also being laundered through online gambling operations, the purchase of lottery tickets and entertainment businesses in the north.

Raids in three places resulted in the arrest of two people selling Ya Ba (methamphetamine mixed with caffeine), two million pills and asset seizures.
