Malaysia My Second Home

Well for those who considered Malaysias 10 year visa/right to buy property MMSH programme an option or a route that Thailand may take, the Malaysian system has just been overhauled and updated to start again in October this year.

It now requires a minimum monthly income of 40,000 Ringet (about 10,000 USD) !!!! Wow!

Yeah...that's certainly a sign they don't want anyone but wealthy Arabs and retired House of Lords codgers...who make up half of Kuala Lumpur's expats anyway these days.

I wonder when Thailand will follow suit ?

Looks like they don't target US, UK, or EU anymore, these figures reveal definitely a shift to the Middle east. They will apply this retroactively, with some grace period, so let's call it "religious cleansing".

The world isn't getting any better, Westerners unite, otherwise we'll be gone in one or two decades. Good thing that Joe is aware.

10,000 usd a month? i can't even make 10,000 baht a month, and beside, if wanted to live in a predominantly Muslim country, Afghanistan would be on the top of my list...

10,000 dollars a month? Virtually no one has a income of 10,000 dollars a month.....I bet only a few percent of expats have 10,000 dollars income a month.....

Face the facts this is simply a way to kick foreigners out of the country.....

Thailand being right next door is very worrisome.....I bet 50 thousand plus farangs would be on overstay within a year if they did this.....
