First there was Lea Salonga starring in Miss Saigon all those years ago. Then followed Eva Noblezada who was nominated for an Emmy for her performance in the revival of Saigon on Broadway, and now she stars in the smash hit Hadestown. Rachelle Ann Go progressed from singing on Filipino TV to also performing in Les Miserable and Hamilton on Broadway and in the West End. Big Earners for the Country Filipino performers are one of the country’s biggest income earners with thousands of singers and groups playing around the globe. Top countries like Japan employ many acts, and next to Filipino domestic help, these performers send huge amounts of cash back home every month. Over the years Filipino acts have also done quite well, performing on the major US and British TV talent shows. So, check out this You Tube video of the top ten acts.
