September 2, 20214 yr Thanks for the heads up. What will they do after the ωμέγα/ Omega/Ω variant , revert to Roman alphabet , is there a protocol, or ask the Watchman? Like all of us cannot wait for return to freedom, but relaxing while barely a sixth double vaxxed?

There is a scientific designation that is official, similar to what we have with influenza with such things as H1N1. With Covid the scientific designations are things like B.1.1.7, B.1.351, B.1.617.2. I am sure they will come with an agreed on common name to avoid stigmatizing a particular country or place.
