I am currently employed at a school with a work permit. I have decided to leave this position at the end of Jul and re-commence teaching at a different school in late Aug after a holiday. Now, when i cancel my work permit what is required of me? My school will cancel my work permit they informed me but were sketchy on other details, do i have to report to immigration in bangkok or a border? I understand they will revoke the visa extension in my passport and i have 7 days to report after my school cancel the permit? Will my non-b still be valid or will i need to return on a tourist visa?

I obtained a multiple entry imm B from the uk independently (ie NOT through my present school) and this is valid until 3/10/07. My immigration stamp is until the 8/02/08. I find it all nvery confusing!

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

Leave Thailand within 7 days of your work permit return and you should be ok. You can immediately return with a 90 day visa entry using your valid multi entry visa.

Do u know if it matters if i leave before the return of my work permit?

Don't believe it would matter - but you want to make sure the school actually does return it or you may have a problem when you turn up to get a new one for the new job.
