BANGKOK (NNT) - Concerning the distribution of 8.5 million antigen test kits among the public, target groups are expected to receive them on September 15th.

The National Health Security Office (NHSO) plans to distribute the antigen test kits to three target groups. Bangkok Metropolitan Administration’s (BMA) public health workers and volunteers will distribute two million kits to 2,000 communities. All recipients are required to verify themselves via the Pao Tang mobile application to ensure that they are in a risk group.

People in the second group are in red-zone provinces. The antigen test kits will be distributed by hospitals, subdistrict health promoting hospitals and public health volunteers in villages. People can also receive them at designated service points, but they have to take a risk assessment first.

As for the third group, the antigen test kits will be distributed to some 1,000 pharmacies and clinics in the NHSO network across the country. People have to register, take a risk assessment via the Pao Tang app and select which pharmacy they will visit to receive the kits. They may also take a risk assessment at pharmacies and register with the system. Each person will receive two kits. People may send photographs of their test results or contact their respective pharmacies to receive further guidance. If the test result is negative, the pharmacist will advise them to undergo a 14-day quarantine. If the result is positive, they will be advised to maintain a period of home isolation. If their condition is serious, favipiravir tablets will be delivered to them.

Gen. Prayut instructed officials to be thorough in the distribution of antigen test kits to prevent problems, while providing guidelines for the use of antigen test kits to the people.

What's with all the different apps? It's hard to keep track as you need one app for this report, another app for proof of vaccination, another app for entering malls and other areas, and now the Pao Tang app for the antigen test kits

I thought the GPO office was going to do some extensive testing on these test kits first.

Now they are setting up distribution with no quality control at all?????

I kind of like the fact that there are multiple apps.  Not looking forward to the day when there's just one app:

One app to rule them all, one app to find them, One app to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them.

That sort of consolidation doesn't always work out for the best. ????

More <deleted> registration!?! These should be free at every 7-11.

It could have been worse , could have been yet another  photo  copy of ID cards, and Tabeian Bann, house registration book, sent to some local  office ,using another  hundred rie of trees in the proses.

Or the 70 baht purchase price at least.

400-550 baht per kit seems excessive.

So many government employee are getting rich from this pandemic.

 Pathetic.
