BANGKOK (NNT) - BMA is inviting people to visit the Bangkok Flora Festival at Lumphini Park until the end of October

 

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has organized the Bangkok Flower Festival, Bangkok Flora in keeping with the concept of "Flowers Blooming by Day at Lumphini Park" at Lumphini Park, Pathumwan district. Lumphini Park, Bangkok’s first public park which covers an area of more than 1.4 rai; it has been turned into a field of more than 32,000 Catharanthus roseus plants and Celosia plants. People can visit the festival and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere from now until October 2021, 5 a.m. - 8 p.m.

 

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) is calling on visitors to follow the essential measures to control and prevent the spread of COVID-19.

 

The Bangkok Flora Festival is a project that has been ongoing since the end of 2020 to promote a new type of tourism. The project includes a sunflower field at Wachirabenchathat Park, Chatuchak District; Catharanthus Roseus Flower Field at Wanaphirom Romklao Park, Ladkrabang district; cosmos flowers in a field at Mahakan Fort Park, Phra Nakhon district; a marigold field, cosmos field, and marguerite daisy field At Chatuchak Park, Chatuchak district and Catharanthus roseus and Celosia flower fields in Lumphini Park, Pathumwan district from September to October 2021.

We can't go to gyms or swim in pools, but we can congregate at a Bangkok flower festival. I hope they have signs stating " no flower sniffers allowed".

No water canons will be present.

They have already ruined the natural look and feel of Railway Park by planting beds of lotuses where there used to be a meadow. Good for selfies I guess.

Lumphini park covers 360 rai.
