Phoenix Rising
When returning to Thailand all foreigners will have to have a special 100K $ Covid insurance. My question is to those who have done this already is do I have to have the 1 year policy since I live here on a Non-O extension and don't have a ticket out of Thailand when coming back? treetops
I've not done it already but hope I'm still allowed to answer. ???? You need the insurance to be valid until the date you are stamped in to Thailand for. That will be the the date you're extension of stay expires. OK, so if my extension is valid for another 8 months after arriving back that's how long my insurance must be valid for. Git it, thanks!
Jeffr2
Best if @ubonjoe helps out here. I'm on a non O. Got the extension in Thailand. No need for insurance and I've entered a few times with no probsessed. Including renewing the visa. I'll be entering again shortly and will only be getting a 30 day policy for covid, as required by the CoE.

I sure hope someone can answer this decisively as there is potentially a lot of money to be saved. A 1 month policy costs 1600 Baht while a 1 year policy costs 14k+.
