Dr. Hul Reko, President of the National Center for Malaria Control, Parasitology and Anthropology, said today that from January to early September, there were a total of 1,002 cases of children and adults infected with dengue fever and 3 deaths.

Dr. Rekol said that the number of cases of dengue fever has dropped by more than six times compared to the same period in 2020, when there were 6,299 cases and eight deaths.

He noted that the decrease in dengue cases may be due to the increase in the number of well-informed people seeking treatment at public hospitals due to the quality of services. “The capacity of doctors in hospitals across the country is increasing year by year,” Rekol said.
