Immigration search for foreigners who used feet to make bread

The Immigration Bureau's spokesman Pol Col Phakkapong Sai-ubol told the press yesterday that his chief Pol Lt-Gen Sompong Chingduang had ordered action after a video was given to the IB.

It purported to show a foreign national putting his feet on bread that was about to be packaged for sale.

Apart from being unhygienic this use of the feet was sickening to Thais, suggested Naew Na in their report.

The public wanted to know if this foreigner was legally in Thailand and did he even have a work permit.

ASEAN NOW notes that Thais have an aversion to the foot though it frequently appears inserted in the mouths of officials.

On this occasion the IB is still searching high and low in Bangkok to find the miscreant and the public were urged to call 1178 if they have information about the baker with the feet.

I suppose it would be racist to reveal his home country.

Is it even clear that this is in Thailand?

"I don't want to know why you can't. I want to know how you can!"

I read the title and thought it was from a show that aired on Youtube showing how bread was being made by stepping on the dough which was in large rounds, and was I believe in Vietnam, but then as I read further and saw the photo and such I knew then I was wrong.

He was testing the softness by resting his feet on the stack, or was he pushing it along.  Maybe his feet were clean and he has no arms and is disabled.....

That is a lot of bread and looks like a large operation maybe supplying a certain type of restaurant beginning with "I"

Many Ethnic restaurants refine their supply chains and order produce from bulk suppliers from their own communities

That whole place in the photo looks disgusting never mind the feet - not very hygenic

I only see two photos of bread to foot contact, and in both the bread is clearly already "made".  There is no photo showing the man using his feet to make bread.

But swatting over a cutting board with shirt tucked up and chopping vegetables ok, as seen in many kitchens here. Unwashed hands often. Be interesting to know who posted the pics for IB, sounds like a "gotcha"

Which could be any of about six in the region, so what's your point?

I saw a video of a White South African remove and put her knickers over her face in a Joburg supermarket, another quality caucasian who thinks the pandemic mask mandate doesn't apply to them. The point being that mongrel behaviour is not dictated by race, much as you seem to wish it was.
