Directors of the Department of Tourism have claimed that people who do not have a vaccination card are compelled to do a short test in some regions, and if they refuse, they will not be allowed to eat or stay.

There is an additional incentive for individuals who have been vaccinated in the form of a 5% or 10% discount for those who have been vaccinated.

The information came from a Department of Tourism video meeting held yesterday.

Minister of Tourism Thong Khon stated that nearly all tourism workers in the country had been inoculated against the COVID-19 virus.

The Minister stressed that the Ministry of Tourism and the Department of Tourism have encouraged all tour operators and workers at all tourist places to be vaccinated in order to support both the strategy to enhance domestic tourism and the plan to open to foreign tourists in the future.

At the same time, HE Minister requested all 25 capital-provincial tourist departments to cooperate in adopting SOP requirements in pagodas, public markets, supermarkets, and other establishments, because this is the popular Pchum Ben season.

He emphasized that Cambodians must learn to live with COVID, which entails conducting business, doing daily work, and working together to prevent the spread of COVID-19 by following SOP standards and “3-Prevention 3-measures” whenever they visit a tourist resort, community tourism, or other tourist sites.

Meanwhile, the directors of the Department of Tourism confirmed that all owners of tourism businesses and staff in the tourism industry had received at least two doses of the vaccine.

Walk in a straight line for five meters whilst touching your nose with the index finger of alternating hands.

Might be nice if the word ' Cambodian ' could be put between of.....and tourism. No point creating panic on the forum.
