Thailand’s Chulabhorn hospital has launched a research project to study the immunity and safety of post COVID-19 vaccination in pregnant women and is seeking for 400 volunteers.

To qualify to become a volunteer, a woman must be over 18 years old, be at least 12 weeks pregnant on the day of their first inoculation with the Sinopharm vaccine, have not had a fever in the 14 days immediately prior to inoculation, has not been infected with COVID-19 and has not been inoculated with another vaccine. They must also cooperate fully in providing information about their and their baby’s condition after inoculation and after giving birth.

For the first group of 100 volunteers must have received two doses of the Sinopharm vaccine, with the first dose on October 4th. Officials will monitor their post-vaccination condition, results of the birth and the condition of their babies for a period of 90 days.

Seeing most of these vaccines are under Emergency Use Agreements (EUA) I would think pregnant women are the last group they should be testing on.

But I suppose pregnant women are getting vaccinated all over the world at the moment.

And running in another thread on this website: https://aseannow.com/topic/1232850-relatives-of-8-month-pregnant-woman-who-died-after-covid-jab-want-answers-from-silent-hospital/

But... but... they told us that it was perfectly safe ? And with a very clear "risks/benefits balance"...

Having second thoughts now ? ????

research has been done already but not on the vaccines used in Thailand.

Before the antivaxers jump on and say there is a 13% miscarriage with the vaccine, that is the same as without vaccine.

However in Thailand they use an other vaccine. I think the order is a bit wrong though one should test first then start vaccinating. So your right to criticize that. Seems logical you first research and then you give it to the populace.

And what do the guinea pigs receive in compensation ?  and what happens if the mother or baby is harmed ?

In many countries medical studies give compensation to those who take part in them. The amounts vary so no idea what they do in Thailand.

Huh, went away from the narrative on this one.

Truth is that those that take the shot are test subjects under clinical trial officially until the year 2025.

Those that do not are "control subjects".

Typically there would be a placebo delivered as well.  However that's usually in people already sick and not in already healthy people.

Governments (marketers) relabeled it as vaxxers and antivaxxers for the emotional and biased narrative (unscientific btw) to sway perxeption.

My statements are not about effectiveness or not.  Just facts about where in the process these are.

According to the CDC in US....the vaccines are safe for everyone almost. Of course pregnant women should have a jab. What could go wrong?

I especially do not trust this gov't site when they tell you what to do if you have covid. I think if one waits for those serious symptoms, as the CDC states, before going to hospital, then one is a fool.
