Laos will compete in the Miss Universe Pageant again in 2021.

The Miss Universe Laos pageant will be held for the third time this year, with the winner to be announced later this month.

Miss Universe Laos 2020 Christina Lasasimma, 27, will be crowned her successor on October 31, according to a new official Facebook page for the Miss Universe Laos organization.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there was no national pageant in 2020, hence Christina was appointed as the titleholder by default.

At a national pageant to be held in Vientiane Capital, 32 contenders will vie for the title of Miss Universe Laos 2021.

In August of this year, the Miss Universe Organization stated that it would not send a representative to the 70th Miss Universe pageant, which will be held in Israel in December of 2021.

Despite the fact that the organization has made no new announcements, it appears like plans are in the works for a last-minute effort to send a representative when the new candidate is chosen.

The Miss Universe pageant will hold its 70th edition in December in the southern resort city of Eilat, Israel, where the current Miss Universe, Andrea Meza of Mexico, will crown her successor.
