Police prevent ‘Talugas’ protesters from gathering in Din Daeng after officer got shot in the head

The metropolitan police will remain on the offense in dealing with hard core “Talugas” protesters at Bangkok’s Din Daeng intersection, by preventing them from gathering, said Pol Maj-Gen Jirasant Kaewsang-ek, deputy commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bureau, today (Friday), after an officer got shot in the head in a clash on Wednesday.

Russian consul general gives his views on Phuket Sandbox

PHUKET, 8 October 2021 (NNT) - Phuket Vice Governor Pichet Panapong has met with Russian Consul General to Phuket Vladimir V. Sosnov to exchange their views on Thailand’s reopening to foreign tourists under the Phuket Sandbox scheme, and to discuss charter flights from Russia to Phuket.

36-year-old Thai man dies after crashing into power pole in Chonburi during curfew

A 36-year-old driver has been pronounced dead at the scene after he crashed into a power pole in Mueang Chonburi during curfew time this morning (October 8th).

Thai Civil Court rejects plea to suspend public gathering restrictions

Justice Ministry aims to seize 10bn baht of drug money next year

BANGKOK, 8 October 2021 (NNT) - The Ministry of Justice has set a goal to seize 10 billion baht from drug sellers next year. On a separate note, the ministry said the new narcotics bill could help reduce the number of convicts and relieve density at prisons.
