Man arrested after spate of burglaries from tourists in pool villas near Hua Hin

Hua Hin's chief of police Pol Col Phaitoon Phromkhian announced the arrest of a burglar who had committed several thefts from pool villas at Nitchaphat Resort in the holiday town in September.

Manas Phothong, 29, from Rai Mai sub-district of Sam Roi Yod, had stolen cash, phones and bags, reported Siam Rath.

Taken into evidence was an Isuzu pick-up and a Honda Wave that he used in the commission of his crimes.

Phaitoon said that many pool villas had been targeted and that efforts were underway to recover property lost by tourists.

He advised tourists not to sleep with windows and doors open as this was an invitation to thieves to steal.
