To allay concerns among students and their parents about undesirable side effects of COVID-19 vaccines, medics and public health volunteers responsible for vaccinating students in Thailand’s eastern province of Sa Kaew province have resorted to wearing student uniforms.

A medic from Aranyaprathet district hospital said that she hopes the uniform will help ease the stress of the students and their parents, as she urged all students to come forward for the mass vaccinations.

In Sa Kaew province, 33,630 students have signed up to receive the first Pfizer vaccine jab, accounting for 81.32% of students in the province. It is expected that half of them will be inoculated within this month. 5,440 teachers and educational staff in the province have been vaccinated, accounting for 89.08%.

Dang. I must get the wife one.

On a lighter note, did this embarrassing exercise actually help persuade the students to get vaccinated, or did they mostly think, as I did, that this is a bit weird...?
