Nigerian man arrested for trafficking nearly half a kilogram of drugs

Another foreign national was arrested by Anti-Drug Police in connection with a drug trafficking case. The man allegedly trafficked nearly half a kg of drugs into the country. Police from the Anti-Drug Department of the Ministry the Ministry of Interior, identified a Nigerian man who was arrested as the main suspect in a drug trafficking case. His identity was released by the Department on the afternoon of October 12.

 

On October 9 at 8:30 p.m. the specialized force from the Anti-Drug force, led by the Deputy Director of the Department, Lt. Col. Vor Vuthea, and the coordination of the Deputy Prosecutor of the Phnom Penh Municipal Court, Sith Vann investigated and cracked down on a drug trafficking case. The suspect was from Sangkat Boeung Tumpun, Khan Meanchey, Phnom Penh.

 

The operation led to the arrest of one suspect, Lebechi Charles Kelichi, a 33-year-old man from Nigeria. He held a passport with the number A08315794. Police reported that he also had a false occupation.
