UBON RATCHATHANI, Oct 15 (TNA) – Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said he was proud of Phuket when Hollywood star Russell Crowe admired the atmosphere, foods and beautiful places on the island province.

The prime minister responded to Mr. Crowe’s photographs and posts on his Twitter account @russellcrowe about Phuket where the world-renowned star had been quarantined for 14 days before film-making in Bangkok.

Gen Prayut said he was grateful for good cooperation from officials, vendors and people in Phuket who contributed to the successful Phuket Sandbox reopening initiative.

Russel Crowe’s Phuket and our Phuket are 2 very different things.

It´s scary when a prime minister goes out and react on one single individuals expression in such a big way. Then you really know that a person has no clue about the position he holds.

If the PM wants to send a message on Twitter to a Hollywood star who's currently in Thailand, so what? Crowe generated some positive publicity for Thailand, Prayut responded.

Which "single individuals expression" is he allowed to respond to according to your rules?

What a funny response. No single individual, because that is not the job that is connected to his position. He should look at the big picture, represent the country in a prominent, deal making and marketing manner. After that the work description for his position is to overlook the different parts of the government, delegate and collect reports. His position is also a decision making one, to do what is best for the country and it´s people.

Or that he, generally speaking, has a clue what he’s talking about. Hint: he doesn’t.

Off topic posts and replies about POTUS have been removed.

A post trolling about brown envelopes has been removed.

just remember that R Crowe was treated to the very best of everything and not paid a dime for it.....so 14 days must have been easy ...
