Pre Paid Mobile Phone Simcard

Featured Replies

I have been told that the Happy DTAC card is good, any feedback on the best value pre paid phone plans?

I already have a phone, so I only need the sim card.

By best value I mean minimal drop outs & best value call rates.

Thanks.

I carry my Australian GSM mobile phone with me in Thailand. It has a dual SIM card holder which enables me to have 2 SIM cards in the phone - and I can switch between the two (depending on whether I want to make a local call or a call back to Australia).

Because I spend most of my time in Issan, I stick with AIS, in preference to DTAC or True as I always seem to get a strong signal and never suffer call drop-outs.

Recharge cards are readily available.

I use AIS and my wife uses Dtac. Most places I have a better signal and in some places my wife has no signal at all. I think Dtac offers some cheaper plans.

AIS - mate convinced me DTAC was rubbish - kept dropping him out and poor connection.

Never had a problem with DTAC. Had dropouts on Koh Samui with AIS. Quite frankly, the SIMs are so inexpensive, you can simply change it if you aren't happy.

I prefer DTAC for ease of use and functionality.

My vote goes to AIS as well, Dtac/Happy do have cheaper call rates but some of my friends have experienced congestion from time to time.
