Major student Covid-19 vaccination campaign with Pfizer vaccine continues in Pattaya, schools likely to start to open in November in Pattaya

A major vaccination day for eligible students in Pattaya started yesterday (October 18th) with 2,402 students vaccinated against Covid-19 with the Pfizer vaccine, according to the Pattaya City Mayor.

Charter Court rules in favour of PPRP’s Paiboon Nititawan

The Constitutional Court ruled today (Wednesday), by a majority, that Paiboon Nititawan, a former MP of the dissolved People  Reform Party and currently an MP and a deputy leader of the ruling Palang Pracharat Party, retains his parliamentary status, on the grounds that he has not violated any provisions of the Constitution, as claimed by opposition MPs.

Court rules suspect in Nakhon Sawan police custody died of deliberate suffocation

The Nakhon Sawan provincial court ruled today (Wednesday) that the drug suspect, who was seen in video footage with his head covered by plastic bags while in police custody at Muang district’s police station, died of suffocation.

150th annual Chonburi Buffalo Festival held, but in a majorly toned-down manner due to Covid-19 concerns

The annual Chonburi Buffalo Racing Festival, the 150th Annual Edition, was held today (October 20th). However, the events have been toned down to primarily only a buffalo parade. The popular major festival part with racing, vendors and a festival atmosphere also was not taking place for the public due to Covid19 and concern on crowds, according to Mueang Chonburi officials.

Thai AirAsia parent plans $419 million fundraising for travel resumption

BANGKOK (Reuters) - Thai AirAsia's parent firm, Asia Aviation Pcl (AAV) on Wednesday said it is seeking to raise 14 billion baht ($419.29 million) as part of restructuring to prepare for a regional travel restart.

235 people, including minors, arrested at “restaurant” in Khon Kaen for allegedly breaking Covid-19 rules

A total of 235 customers, including nine juveniles, were captured at a local establishment in the Mueng district of Khon Kaen province in the early hours of this morning, October 20th, for allegedly illegally gathering and drinking alcohol which violates the provincial orders to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
