An arrest warrant for computer crime and libel has been issued against the founder of the Thai Civilized political party.

Monkholkit Suksintharanon, also known by his nickname of Tae, is also the secretary-general of the National Anti-Corruption Network.

Pol Lt-Col of the Muang Buriram police in the north east of Thailand said that the charge has a ten year statute of limitations.

It followed comments made by the MP on Facebook.

No one at the police station would say who had instigated the charges, reported Daily News.

Though the media indicated that the MP had had a spat with the transport minister since May.

This is Saksayam Chidchob part of a powerful north eastern Thai family.

Earlier in the year the powerful minister was at the center of allegations after he caught coronavirus, a case that was connected to outbreaks at two nightspots in the Thong Lor area of Bangkok.
