Passport applied for online, the final part of the process is to mail a few signed documents to the passport department in the home country. 

 

This was done by EMS on the 8th of October. 

Checked the EMS tracking today and on the 9th is listed as:

 

SUVARNABHUMI MAIL CENTRE Departure From Outward OE

 

19 days ago.

 

And nothing noted since this date.

 

The online passport application says paid and applied for, waiting on document verification.

 

It's a simple A4 document in a normal envelope. 

 

Is 19 days plus the norm now for an EMS to Europe?

About two weeks to UK using normal post. About 28 days coming back. However, I am using an agent to renew my passport. My old one is with me and will stay with me until the new passport arrives. The total time is a projected 4 to 8 weeks

Have you checked the destination country post Office service ? It often shows next step wheras Thai post sometimes stops at the airport after departue.

I posted a letter to my UK bank on the 14th of Ocrober, registered mail. It took 2 days to leave Thailand, 5 more days to arrive in UK, spent 4 days in customs and then arrived at the destination town. It has been at the destination town for 3 days and has not been delivered yet. A delivery attempt was made yesterday (to a bank) at 7am, surprise surprise no one was in. We will see what today brings.

Would you mind sharing which country this is please ?

I just sent some documents to Europe with EMS. Took 9 days.

I checked the tracking every second day or so and had the same issue as the OP. Suddenly when delivered 2 days ago all tracking was updated. Both in TH and destination country tracking system.
