Most Thai schools to reopen Monday if they pass assessments, requirements

Most Thai schools are reopening, both fully and partially on Monday (November 1st), and the Thai Ministry of Education has rolled out a set of guidelines to be followed by schools, their staff and students if they are to resume on-site classes or hybrid on-site/online teaching.

Thailand’s biggest shopping center trialing digital currency

Central Retail Corp, a major Thai retail company, has announced a test of its virtual currency, “C-Coin.”

Central Retail Corp, a leading firm in Thailand’s retail industry, is testing a digital currency among its employees. After the sandbox phase is finished, the retail giant plans to extend the service to customers and the general public, according to a report by Bloomberg.

Thailand entry rules for vaccinated and unvaccinated tourists

On Monday (Nov 1), Thailand will reopen to international foreign tourists for the first time in almost two years.

 

With the reopening just days away, the Thai government has provided a little more clarity on the entry process and requirements for vaccinated and unvaccinated foreign tourists.

Teen shot during Bangkok protests in August dies

Thailand cave rescue: UK diver says boys were in 'mortal danger every second underwater' as he relives heroic mission

COVID-19 Tests, Insurance Required for Quarantine-free Visitors

Fully vaccinated travelers from low-risk countries will be able to visit Thailand without serving quarantine from 1 November. Some requirements have been introduced for safety reasons, such as mandatory COVID-19 tests and travel insurance. Unvaccinated travelers will be required to quarantine for 10 days after arrival.

Thailand’s Covid-19 Center Committee announces more Covid-19 relaxations, effective Monday November 1st

The Center for Covid-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) has announced an easing of Covid-19 measures, including provincial rezoning and the lift of the alcohol ban at dine-in restaurants in some areas, effective from November 1st.

Tougher health screening measures at Chiang Mai international airport

Due to recent surges in COVID-19 cases, Chiang Mai international airport has adopted an 8-step protocol, to make sure arriving passengers are safe, which may mean a delay of 2-3 hours before passengers are allowed to leave the airport following disembarkation.
