Beer garden patrons and diners need not wait any longer as the once high risk business is now open to all nationwide. The Ministry of Tourism issued the decision to reopen the Beer Garden business and instructed them to  strictly enforce tourism safety rules and acceptable standard operating procedures (SOPs) along the new normal path and to monitor business activities to help prevent the spread of Covid-19 disease.

 

This is according to the letter of the Ministry of Tourism dated November 3, 2021. Since the first quarter of the year, beer gardens clubs and KTV’s were considered high risk business and were ordered shut. This suspension of business was extended multiple times.

 

Business owners voiced out their grievances as they had no means of earning revenue while their basic cost was still there such as rental and utilities and basic allowances for their employees. “Now that the country is open, there should be no more of this type of restriction or preventive measures nation wide as it will be a hopeless exercise s it defeats the government’s aim of kick starting the local economy.
