INN reported that Bangkok governor Gen Aswin Kwanmuang sent in his minions, spokesman and the chief of the Thong Lo police to make sure that bars and restaurants in the area were behaving themselves.

The area was at the center of controversy after politicians and hi-so's were caught breaking the Covid rules at member clubs last April that led to a devastating wave of the virus.

This time Suchai Pongphianchob and Thong Lo chief Pol Col Duangchot Suwanjarat found all the protocols were being observed.

They were checking on such things as "D-M-H-T-T" and temperature devices.

Ainu Bar - a Japanese style restaurant-cum-bar - was one of the places deemed to be acceptable.

Pure show…..the ‘minions’ were told exactly where not to go and what not to find. They wouldn’t dream of challenging any of the elite party animals….or dare to trespass on their pay-for-play territory.

I wonder why they havent tried checking on protocols a few stops on the skytrain towards Siam.

His and his cohorts salaries are probably in the telephone number figures, ( not counting the "special" payment) why would they give a hoot what losses thousands of business owners have been suffering for way too long now?...

I'm still laughing over the "restaurant-cum-bar".

Quite a different meaning to a "restaurant, come bar".

You mean the Krystal Club, I imagine they used it as their staging ground as well as their post-mortem meeting place.
