PHUKET: The Southern Western Meteorological Center (Phuket MET), located near Phuket International Airport, has issued a weather advisory warning of potential heavy rain heading for the Andaman coast.

The advisory followed the Thai Meteorological Department (TMD) earlier today (Nov 25) issuing a notice warning at-risk areas throughout Southern Thailand of flooding, landslides and overflowing reservoirs and river banks from tomorrow through next Tuesday (Nov 26-30).

The weather advisory by the Phuket MET noted that the heavy rainfall predicted to afflict the southern provinces on the mainland is heading toward the Andaman Sea, and will cross the coastal provinces of Phuket, Phang Nga, Trang and Satun.
