File Photo Bars and pubs in Hua Hin and other entertainment venues may be able to reopen on Dec 16, under a new proposal being drafted by the Ministry of Public Health. The proposal, which would need to be approved by the Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), would see night time entertainment be allowed to reopen in the 17 ‘Blue Zone’ areas, which includes Hua Hin and Nong Khae in Prachuap Khiri Khan province. Under the proposals, anyone entering an entertainment venue would need to show proof vaccination or a negative test result from an antigen test. Popular Post AhFarangJa
Why show a picture of Bintabaht, a large section of it it is scheduled for redevelopment. Also, many bars, and the girls, have already moved to the new Bintabaht currently known as Soi 94.

matador007
Should Covid prevention be the focus at a place like Bintabaht ? I think testing for STD's would give more positives than C.19. With these possible rules, people entering are safe from Covid, but after a bar fine more likely to catch something else ???? Or am I being too cynical ?
spidermike007
1. There is absolutely no hope of even a minor revival of tourism until they open all nightlife. 2. They are milking the shutdown for all it is worth. It appears they want to eliminate most nightlife. 3. They simply do not have the courage to fully reopen anytime soon. They are timid and scared and hiding in the corner of the room, hoping a Zombie does not claim them.

Hoteliers; some big players amongst them; are exerting pressure on the Government. It will happen in blue zones, IMO.
Usual Suspect
I've mentioned on this forum before about the landlady of the wife's bar on Bintabaat coming & giving her the new 'rental rate' for when the bars open again... The new 'rate' had taken a big increase since the last contract was in play! Now I am unable to speak about what other bar-owners are doing down this Soi? OR if they too have been given the same kinda news we got from the owners..? BUT.. Maybe the hike in rentals is a alternate way of finishing off the bars down here, and (as mentioned earlier) the Soi is indeed maybe marked for developement..? (ps.. When she told me about the hike in our rent I told her to gut the place & walk away!).
