I first travelled to Thailand almost 40 years ago and have been back many times to visit, live and at times work here. Over that period countless billions of tourist baht have poured into the country but still the basic infrastructure is lacking. Death-trap pavements, road crossings that put naive visitors in harms way. Litter and plastic garbage piled up on beaches. Black bags full of stinking trash left at the roadside and on waste ground. And it would be nice if some kind of government-backed accident insurance could be made available to tourists, or if not then rigorously enforce motorbike rental regulations to protect them from their own stupidity.. -

The framing of the question as a choice between Ukraine "winning" or Russia "winning" can be misleading, as it implies that both sides have equal stakes in the conflict and that there is a clear winner and loser. In reality, Ukraine is not seeking to "win" anything that it did not already possess before the war. Rather, Ukraine is defending its sovereignty and territorial integrity against an aggressor that has violated international law and caused enormous damage to the country and its people. A more accurate way to frame the question might be to ask whether people support Ukraine's right to defend itself against Russian aggression, or whether they believe that Russia's actions are justified. This framing would better reflect the asymmetry of the conflict and the moral imperative to support Ukraine in its fight for self-determination and justice. -

Wake up, indeed. Is it 1100B or 900B? Last time I looked at the details of my US-TH airplane ticket, the vast majority of the taxes went to the US side. Admittedly, that was awhile ago. I didn't miss any points. Thailand is awash in low budget tourists. There's nothing wrong with that if that's the best they can attract. Some of us think they could attract higher dollar tourists if the crowds would thin out and nature had a chance to heal up. I'd rather see 10 million tourists spending $5000 each than 50 million spending $1000 each. The money's the same and it's easier to clean up and recover from the wear and tear after 10 million than 50 million. -

How else do third parties access a deceased persons bank account legally? Police have to be informed of your death as does your embassy, that's when financial matters can come to the surface. In order for a third party (your widow) to access someone else's account (yours) the theory is that your bank has to be informed of your death otherwise her actions are theft and fraud. -

Yes, However if you buy one and are living in it until you sell it then that does not become a concern. If you buy more and have two or more condos then its truly a consideration, and as you have pointed out it will affect your situation. -

Trump collective is but hurt with Taylor Swift's rejection of the convicted felon and serial philanderer Donald Trump. They will toss anything that they can to disparage Taylor Swift. Had she endorsed Trump, they would be singing her high praise and saying how she can motivate young voters. Taylor is always elegant. I expect that the majority of her fanbase are not of voting age. Of the balance, most were most likely in the Harris camp already. A large number of Swift's fans are young, white, educated females. Taylor Swift checks all the boxes for parents; She is free of scandal, polite, respectful, intelligent, has an excellent and close relationship with her parents, and encourages kids to give back to their community. On the other hand, Trump can count on the support of the people they constantly complain about; -
