farang51
Please be aware that the requirement for Thailand Pass is not a covid insurance but a health insurance. The TGIA insurance that ubonjoe mentioned is for covid only. You may be able to get the Thailand Pass with that one - or you may not. If you want insurance for covid the TGIA one is good because of the age limit and also because it covers hospital even if one does not have symptons. But you may need an ordinary health insurance as well.
Life Style Change
You can get it to the age of 99 on the site a link of this page take you to. https://covid19.tgia.org/ ubonjoe, I see they offer US$50,000 for 30 days only. For 60days and thereafter their offer for insurance US$100,000 only Is that correct?

That appears to be what the companies participating agreed to.

So are you saying expats just can't buy that before they travel from Thailand but can buy it while on their trip outside Thailand? So if an expat buys a 30 day policy that way and reenters on an annual extension reentry permit will immigration stamp in for only 30 days or until the expiration of the annual extension? The could buy it with a arrival date in the future and it would go into effect on that day when they enter the country. 13 minutes ago, Jingthing said: So if an expat buys a 30 day policy that way and reenters on an annual extension reentry permit will immigration stamp in for only 30 days or until the expiration of the annual extension? The length of validity is another topic for discussion and it is not entirely clear yet. People have entered with insurance that is less than the permit to stay date they will get from a re-entry permit. FYI that insurance site has been in use since shortly after the entry restrictions started last year.

Thanks for the reply but I would still be concerned using that site as a settled expat living in Thailand when this text from that site is very clear that their products are NOT for us. You seem to be saying to just ignore this warning. 1.This COVID-19 Insurance Policy for Thailand Inbound Travellers during the COVID-19 pandemic is intended for foreigners who wish to apply for COE or Thailand Pass, not for foreigners and Thai nationals who currently live in Thailand. I think you are misunderstanding what it means. It only means you cannot buy it use in Thailand while your are still here. When you apply for it you have to enter a arrival date and that is when it will start, You can apply for a Thai Pass before leaving Thailand if you are planning a short trip out of Thailand,
